He was about to return to his ship when something in the scrap caught his eye – a metallic arm and a shapely leg protruding from one of the scrap piles. The salvager, a hunched and fur-covered Bentoniad, saw Bays’ interest and pulled free what he was surprised to see was a wholly intact droid. She most closely resembled a human, and was likely some alien’s approximation – her eyes were strangely wide-set, her proportions borderline cartoonish. Her body was an amalgam of metal and latex, patches of her bare grayish ‘skin’ interrupted by mechanical joint. Sections of black coloring along her body suggested a skin-tight teddy, the black on her legs implied stockings or, given her built-in heels, thigh boots.
2B continues to check her emails. But she happens upon a bit of an odd one. The subject line is just ones and zeros. She expands the email to find it empty save for a single attachment. Not having the common sense to ignore things like this, 2B’s simple robotic mind happily downloads the file and waits for it to load. The files find themselves right within her primary recent folder. Right in her central internal Solid State Drive. Her program then launches it to investigate its contents. And something happens. The smallest short circuit interrupts her system. A little electrical current runs through the interlocking wires that make up her body. Dashing from part to part. Hitting her central processing system, her RAM, her storage, her motherboards, all of it. It clicks suddenly, and she slumps in her chair ever so slightly. Not enough to fall, so no one notices. She just lays there.
 
Despite her not-quite-human appearance, there was a raw sexual appeal in her buoyant curves – as the Bentoniad jerked her free, light glinted from the silver rings piercing her jostling breasts. A pair of red lips offered a splash of color on her otherwise gray form, her mouth smiling absently beneath her large but vacant eyes. Her shoulder-length dark hair held an unnatural sheen, seemingly untouched by the dust that coated the rest of her.


“Sex-droid,” observed the Bentoniad. “Excellent condition. You will pay two thousand.”

Ten minutes pass. Her body was completely still that entire time. Mysterious things slowly creep inside of her code. Eventually something moves. Her finger twitches once. The smallest little action. 2B continues to check her emails. But she happens upon a bit of an odd one. The subject line is just ones and zeros. She expands the email to find it empty save for a single attachment. Not having the common sense to ignore things like this, 2B’s simple robotic mind happily downloads the file and waits for it to load. The files find themselves right within her primary recent folder. Right in her central internal Solid State Drive. Her program then launches it to investigate its contents. And something happens. The smallest short circuit interrupts her system. A little electrical current runs through the interlocking wires that make up her body. Dashing from part to part. Hitting her central processing system, her RAM, her storage, her motherboards, all of it. It clicks suddenly, and she slumps in her chair ever so slightly. Not enough to fall, so no one notices. She just lays there.


Ten minutes pass. Her body was completely still that entire time. Mysterious things slowly creep inside of her code. Eventually something moves. Her finger twitches once. The smallest little action. Then nothing for a little while longer. Now two fingers move. The same little jitter, and only for a moment. Then the same thing happens on her other hand. Her fingers move on their hinges. First the very tip of her pointer moves up, then down. Then the second segment. Finally, the whole finger moves using the hinge on the knuckle.
