| Susan had been flagged for adjustment to her personality settings again. She’s a good IT manager but seems to grate on the senior executives for some reason… It's not the first ticket I’ve worked on her so, although she’s my boss, I know she’s programmed to comply with tech support just like all the other company leased ‘bots.
She lets me unzip her dress, pop her interface cover and hook her up without complaint. Human uploads like her sometimes get a bit confused during maintenance so I lock her out of voice and motor functions which makes her pissed. She tries to complain, mouth moving silently, but quickly falls into a dazed stare as I begin to make changes. She’ll internalize the new settings on reboot and just carry 32 on like nothing’s different… |
