She was built to be a protection unit, assigned to me by the company to keep me out of trouble, but a man of my particular tastes (and more importantly, resources) simply couldn't leave well enough alone. I don't know if it was a cost-saving thing to reuse chassis across lineups, but it just didn't seem right to build a security bot like Paige and leave her anatomically correct.

"I didn't want to mess with her original personality matrix," he explained. "Nowadays, everything has to be digitally signed from the factory, and since this is a custom one-off hack, if I tried to run this natively… well, I'm sure you don't want to be stuck with a million dollar sex doll."

Interesting choice of words, I thought, since that's exactly what this secondary personality matrix he was putting into her would turn her into, but much more livelier.

"Now the thing about running more than on personality matrix in these bots is that it shouldn't be done because they go crazy, so to speak. Two or more brains trying to share the same body, that's like giving them multiple personality shit. So what I did was put them into their own virtualized containers. The base system stays legit and you can run as many personalities as you wanted. You re only limited by how many of them her brain could hold. The only catch is that you have to shut down one matrix to use the other one."

I grinned. She would become the best of both worlds. All business when I need her, all pleasure when I want her.
