Whirring sounds are an auditory effect produced by motorized equipment as it moves. This sound can be used in TV, movies and other fiction to strongly convey that a character is a fembot. In gynoid related fiction and media, whirring sounds can occur when an android moves its limbs, or when a panel is opened.
