The door opens to a simple bedroom, neatly kept but still covered a layer of dust. Outside the bedroom window you see a simulated blue sky above a suburban neighborhood, though the minor but telling glitches inform you that very little of this is real. An idling car switches off in the driveway of the house next door. Glancing up, you notice a pretty blonde girl sitting by the window, serenely engrossed in a book. At first she is perfectly, inhumanly still – a moment later, she seems alive. Although the change is subtle (she remains seated, reading whatever’s in front of her) small movements and simulated breathing do a great deal to distract you from the knowledge that she is a robot.

Your attention is brought back to the driveway when the car door opens. From the driver’s seat slips a feminine figure enmeshed in a tight sweater and tighter jeans, hips swaying as she walks to the back of the car. She glances at you in the window and smiles in greeting, brushing aside her neatly-cut straight brown hair. She’s clearly meant to appear more mature than the girl in the window, possibly an older sister.

Suddenly, the curvaceous fembot’s pelvis rockets to the side with a mechanical buzz, then jerks sharply back – but her distracted smile gives no indication that something is wrong, and she turns to pop the trunk. The act of her bending over to retrieve a bag of groceries seems deliberately provocative as the denim stretches across her curves, no panty line visible beneath the taught fabric. A moment later, a voice with a sultry rasp and a faint metallic echo draws you from your study of her backside. “Can you give me a hand?” She’s looking at you over her shoulder, a slight smile on her red lips.
